Cu Tavern

I designed the logo for Cu Tavern, a restaurant and bar in Breckenridge, Colorado. Playing off the name “Cu,” the chemical symbol for copper, I incorporated the element’s periodic-table format into the logo as a visual reference to its name. The client wanted the identity to reflect Breckenridge’s mining history, so I incorporated crossed pick axes and an industrial look to tie the logo back to the town’s mining roots.
